Capital Pawn here in Salem, Oregon helps support many small businesses and organizations. One such organization is ConquerChiari.org.

Our friend, Chantiell, has Chiari Malformation and has organized the Walk to Conquer Chiari here in Salem. Chiari is a malformation of the brain that causes pain and a wide range of other symptoms.

This month is Chiari Malformation Awareness month. Capital Pawn has donated in order to help raise money for the awareness, research, and education about this neurological disorder. The walk was held on September 17th at Salem’s capitol building and was a success.

Chantiell speaks in the photo on the left and the whole group can be seen in the right photo.

If you want to know more about Chiari and hear a story of hope, watch this video of Piston’s Dancer, Nicole Josey.

Additionally, if you would like to donate click here, or if you would like more information about how you can help, click here. If you would like more information about the walk next year, or you want a point of contact for helping in the future, please see the document below.
